We're now four weeks into the sign-up period to present at Shining Hearth. Many timeslots are still available across Friday through Sunday. Applications will be accepted through January 12.

Presentations can be on any topic that would be of interest to elfae folk and can be in any format: lecture, panel, group discussion, demonstration, ritual, meditation, performance, etc. Solo and group presentations are both accepted. (If you want to sign up as a group, choose one person to be the contact and only fill out the form once. All members of the group must be over 18.)

"What's Shining Hearth?" It's a free online gathering of elves, fae, sidhe, and adjacent folk, held on Discord. For full info, check out our website here.

Schedule update: Chronically Fae on Saturday evening has been replaced by a moderated group discussion on Otherkin and Religion. Saturday night will now also feature a movie, *Ember Days* (and boy is it a doozy!).

Announcing the third event for Shining Hearth, a free online gathering of Elves, Fae, Sidhe, and adjacent folk! It will be held on March 24-26, 2023 (the fourth weekend in March) on our Discord server. As always, we plan to have workshops and discussions, games, music, and of course plenty of time just to hang out and chat. You can get all the details and sign up for our newsletter on our website!

Shining Hearth is a free Discord gathering of elves, fae, and similar folk, happening March 18-20, 2022.

We've lost contact with one of our staff members who was also giving a presentation and are looking for replacements. You must be 18 years of age or older and have or be willing to create a Discord account. Other requirements:

Staff: Have duties of chat moderator, schedule runner (make sure next presenter is ready to go and give time warnings), and technical support (help with technical problems on Discord). Prefer if we can get all three (whether in one person or more), but schedule running is the most important. Must commit to being present on all three days of the event, Friday, March 18 through Sunday, March 20, and to checking the server for messages regularly between now and then. Presenter: Give a talk, discussion, demo, performance, etc. of approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour in length. Topics directly related to elves/fae/etc. are preferred. Topics of general interest to otherkind will also be considered. Must commit to this timeslot: Sunday, March 20, 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM Central Time (9:30 AM Pacific, 10:30 Mountain, 12:30 Eastern), to check in 30 minutes ahead of time on that day, and to checking the server for messages regularly between now and then. We got enough presentations submitted to fill the schedule, but we would like to have a few backup workshops in case of presenters having to cancel. If you would be interested in being an alternate presenter, the form is still open here.
