I have some kind of association with wind, too. I guess maybe it has something to do with being winged-kin. Sometimes I feel like I'm having a conversation with it, and when I open myself up to it, it has a tendency to blow very strongly. I'm not sure I could say I control it per se. We just seem to be aware of each other in a way that I'm not with other elements.
My big thing since a young age was empathy. I actually asked my dad once, when I was young, if it was normal to feel the feelings of other people. He gave me one of those O.o looks and said something to the effect that it was my imagination. I knew I had to keep it secret after that. Kind of a sad thing that I did for so long, too. I've never really felt like I fit in with human society, but now I have an explanation why at least. :)
